Have you ever wonder why is it important to be able to interpret and understand your own feelings?? As a practicing clinician that is... well it also applies to everyone. You cant show your emotions when you are working or dealing with patients right? You have to put it aside and focus on your clients as well as being open minded. Maybe another reason is that we may come to understand ourselves more better if we understood how we feel? Hmmm am i making sense here? I m still having doubts myself.

This was what i learned during tutorials today from a group of students who did their presentation on decorating biscuits with facial expressions (eg: smileys) based on how you feel. Its not decorating for the sake of decorating but it also relates to the occupation (i.e the process of decorating it..how you do it..and are you able to do it)..ok to make it simple... first we have to use our dominant hand (right handed or left handed)...which for my case as a left handed, its easier to use the bread knife with my left hand to spread the icing on the
biscuit...and slower plus takes more effort using the right hand. So imagine one day if your left or right hand is impaired..and you could only rely on one hand which is not ur dominant hand. It would be hard for yourself to be able to do what you normally could do, say even a simplest task like buttoning up your shirt? what about writting?
.........hahaha.......putting up too much OT stuff..............that is part of OT, understanding a person's impairment, what has been altered and find alternative ways to enable the person to do what he/she must do.

Anyways besides decorating biscuits...we learned 8 proper steps of how to wash your hands before handling the biscuits of course. It was good fun. Used lollies a.k.a candies to decorate the biscuits...spread a layer of icing before that.

Wasnt meant to be that way...

My newly decorated smiley face biscuit is partially ruined..because i have to put the whole bag of biscuits into my bag and ran under the freaking rain which got more worse. Well i was consider lucky because my friend offered me a ride home but she parked her car quite a distance away from the campus, so we ended up running under the pouring rain. She had a hood..and just as well i was wearing my wool coat which was hood-less............gahhh was soaking wet, my shoes, my socks, my jeans..my hair.................... crazy weather. so my biscuits which was perfectly decorated..is abit out of shape..as in the smiley happy face that i was trying to portray.

Ah..my age has become a hot topic among my friends. Everyone is starting to realise or found out that i am not 18 or 19.............. Muahahaha. "hey felicia! when is your bday? and you are turning?"(*drum roll* the truth is out)....uhhh...21 this year? WTH...(@*#&@^!^.. are you kidding me??????????? are you serious??????????? omg...i m so shock! I always thought you are 18!!!!! Hahahaha.......oh dear......i m so flattered that i dont look 20-ish..........LOL! Still i feel old........being the eldest among the group................sigh...........................Hmm.

P.S: To my dear friend Vengli remember to put a smile on your face and be happy ..as happy as this biscuit. Takes time to get used to your surroundings and you need to open up and accept what is around you.
