Yessss...finally weekend is here.

Had a great day yesterday. Went to Melbourne again for placement. Well not really placement tho..we went to visit an art gallery!~ The place is called 'The Cunningham Dax Collection' where they collect all sorts of drawings, paintings and craft work done by patients who suffered from mental illness. Looking at all the drawings, its hard to understand what the patient is actually thinking. You cannot make assumptions as well. Some of the drawings that i saw were beautiful sceneries...how would you associate that to a patient with mental illness?

Another painting that i saw was a lady who was hung (commited suicide) with a very weird mixture of colours at the background...we may think that its drawn by a lady but it was actually drawn by a man. Most of the colours used on the painting were black...red.....and more black.............which implies darkness and emptiness....some of them drew people with two types of faces, demons, dragons..other types of beast that can be quite disturbing when u look at it. Some of them wrote short descriptions on their drawings, stating their experience...and how they feel indirectly which is quite hard to understand.

There was one drawing done by a lady who had bipolar disorder ( a person who can go mania..as in very hyperactive..extreamly happy and the next minute very depressing )..she made a drawing using handprints..it looked like a rainbow made out of handprints...then the next drawing she did when she is really depressed..was just black paint...being painted over the entire paper...and she somewhat drew a banana...and called her art work 'the happy banana'. Some of the people who drew the paintings were inspired by famous artist like Vincent Van Gough and Edvard Munch who dreaw the famous painting called 'The scream'.Another lady she knitted a sweater over and over again..stating that it would make her feel protected. I think through art therapy, maybe patients who have mental illess is able to express how they feel and probably give some sense to their lives. Overall the visit was interesting.

After all that, we took the train back to Geelong. I went to Jessica (my coursemate) 's house. She has a very nice, cozy house..typical western house...carpeted...and i dont even have to take my shoes off?!! unlike at home..please take ur shoes off before u enter. LOL. The toilet and bathroom door has no locks as well! HAHA. So we got ready, and drove to the main campus.
Meet up with other coursemates, and exchange our pub crawl (hopping from one pub/club to anther) tickets. It was a mystery pub crawl..and you have no idea which pub u r goin to. After all that, 4 buses came.

All the students majority law and commerce...were already in their hyper mood. Gosh...i think 2008 is not a good year for me, a couple of bad incidence happened to me again yesterday. Before getting on the bus someone pushed a guy and the guy hit my back real hard and that was just the beginning. Next when i got on to the bus, as i was about to get into the sit next to the window and didnt bend down to a much lower level, the right side of my head hit the compartment of where u can adjust the air conditioner..and it was really hard with a loud thud. Damn...started seeing stars..and it was embarrasing. After that, when we got to the first pub, all the students were rushing to buy drinks since it was free..and there was a snooker table right next to the bar...this fella...started positioning himself..as in bending down and focusing to hit the ball. I was standing just next to him, i knew he was goin to hit me..but i cant even move not even a few inches away as there were people all over...and the next thing i knew......my back hurts again! Ahhh..so pissed...and the guy went..'omg i m so so sorry...i will buy u a drink'. Damn it. I almost tripped a few times as well. Sigh.

In one of the launge that we ended up, there was a famous geelong footy player having dinner. All the girls got so excited...even my coursemates and i was totally blur with the situation as i hav no idea with the footy games in Aus..and this tells me that i should have a fair bit of knowledge bout it. I was surprise that no one dares to come up to the famous player and ask for his autograph or something. HAHA..maybe they didnt want to disturb him having his dinner.

We ended up in a strip club at the 5th stop..........Oh my........seriously what an experience..best experience for the boys for sure. At the 6th stop..me and my coursemates were starting to get bored...and because we hardly know anyone so the night doesnt seemed to be happening at all. SO we decided to walk to McDonalds and have our late supper. Next we went back to where the last stop is. I think the last stop was by far the best, because of the good RnB music and its more like a club. Had lots of fun with my coursemates...and i would say i am not a clubbing person nor and alcoholic. HAHA....i only have two drinks and my skin started having red patches around the thigh area, backside...and arms. Hot and itchy patches..when u scratch it its really painfull. Happens to me when i drank bailey's last year. Ahh...seriously cant drink anymore...its a torture and the patches will only go within 1 or 2 weeks!!!!! Plus the high heels was a torture as well.

Alrites..thats it for now.
