♥ orientation...orientation!~

Hi there!

Today is my 3rd day of orientation. Everything is fine and went pretty well. Orientation here are not like the ones we used to have in IS seniors bullying u and stuff..its more like introducing u the school system and tutors. i shall talk about my first day of orientation first. ;)

ok day one:
Arrived the college around 8.45am, my college is a building which is about 6floors so all the foundation students are suppose to meet up at the 2nd floor. When i arrived, there were quite a number of students there, registered myself and phew..i m so glad to say tat on the name list there is a column tat stats "prefered name"..so i wrote there "felicia" ...makes the ang mo's life easier, cuz its hard for them to pronounce chinese name. I received a bag pack too which contains a student diary, bottle, few forms bout the choice of sub, booklist, sub topic, some school rules, guide line on how to access to eynesbury portal and etc...
I met Emily ( hometown fren ) and we both stood there and wait for futher instructions. At the same time i met quite a few new friends, one frm penang, another frm China, Hong Kong, Dubai and a few frm Sarawak. Most of the students are frm HongKong.

Basically on the first day we were being introduced to some of the tutors, councelors, and shown round the building like where the library is,lab..washrooms..and etc. We hav our photo taken too for our student ID card. The system here is quite diff frm back home. We have our own email set by the college where our assignments will be sent or other important notice. The bad thing is we cant access to yahoo or hotmail or any other sites which is irrelevant and not educational =P
We can also check if the ref books in the library is available or not thru the comp..plus we are also allow to use the Universities library for study which is good. =D
We are given certain amount of credit to use the internet and to do printing in the library, like $10 is for internet usage and $5 is for printing..one piece cost about 10cents ( no colour ) ..so all in all we can print 50pages for 5bucks! If ur credit is finished u can recharge it. @_@
The system here is so high-tech unlike back home we still practice the old fashion way.
Some University representatives came too to give a brief introduction bout the university. Surprisingly only less than 10students plan to enter UniSA..majority plan to enter Adelaide Uni and Flinders Uni..we were like the smallest number of all. LOL.

2nd day:

Did nothing much, had a short tour to another building which is behind the main building. This building is mainly for foundation students, it has a computer room too and we can also use the kitchen which is in the tutor's room. Then we were given a brief talk on the sub we choose which is related to our course.

3rd day:

Visited UniSA the city east campus where all the health science courses is conducted. The pharmacy building is just next to the building where the Nursing and Physiotheraphy course is..and right in the middle there is barbeque pitt! haha..tats hw students doin these courses get along well. The biology lab, chemistry lab and lecture theatre is situated at the new building which is about 2 years old. The labs are quite big including the lecture theatre. There is a few old buildings around the Uni too! one of the building which is 150years old is used as the library!!
After visiting the Uni, we had lunch and walk back to the college.
I received my time table today which is done by the course coordinator. She is smart enough to kno tat some of us hav built some friendship for the pass two days so not all of our time tables are the same. I m lucky enough cause i dont hav classes till 5.10pm only thing is i hav to be in school by 8.35 frm Mon-thurs.

Nothing much goin on tmr, we just hav to go to school and buy our graphic calculator! Surprisingly they use it in maths..and it makes life more easier. U can easily get sin, cos, tan graphs by using the graphic calculator.! Amazing.

All the tutors are very friendly and they make u feel home altho i kept on hearing them say... "I guarantee in few weeks time ..u will have all sort of mix feelings, u will be asking urself why are u here?...did make the right choice..and things like tat" T_T hopefully that feeling doesnt govern me!

Tats it for now. Class will commence next monday~ its gonna be a busy life. ciou!
